Language Features

Alliteration - Kim’s Kid’s Kept Kitting
Atmosphere - The shop keeper had a birthday and it felt awkward
Climax - She was nearing the climax of her speech
Conflict - You can’t fend off conflict all the time
Contrast - Such is the contrast between winter and spring
Figurative Language - The toast jumped out of the toaster
First person point of view - i,i,i,i
Hyperbole - Angelica is the best
Imagery - He could hear the footsteps of doom nearing
Metaphor - She is fishing in a troubled water
Onomatopoeia - Splash, Spray,Sprinkle
Personification - The stars danced beautifully
Plot - Only something that you use to make a story more specific
Sarcasm - I’m trying to imagine you with a personality
Simile - You are “as busy as a bee”
Symbolism - A action of an character
Theme - It’s like a background

Voice - When someone is talking over you

Hi Angelica, it is great to see that you went over language features today, these will really help you with your writing! Which language feature do you think is your favorite to use? I use lots of personification in my writing.
